Relationship between Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn Nets expected to continue beyond the current season

Irving’s future with the franchise has been a topic of discussion since this past offseason when there were reports that the Nets did not want to commit to Irving on a long-term basis.

It became evident that Irving was becoming tired of the Nets and his inability to play for many reasons. Whether it’s because of injuries (which he cannot control) or for other reasons like refusing to be vaccinated which cost him a good chunk of time last season. However, this season, outside of the incident where Irving tweeted a link to a documentary containing antisemitic material, he has shown that he can play at an elite level and that he’s trying his best to not be in the news for the wrong reasons.
