China appoints a new chief of the Hong Kong liaison office

HONG KONG (Reuters] – Zheng Yanxiong is the head of the Office for Safeguarding National Security Hong Kong and has been named director of China’s Liaison Office. This was announced by China’s State Council Saturday.

Luo Huining has been replaced by Zheng at the head of Beijing’s top representative office, Hong Kong.
