Drew Barrymore Corey Feldman Recall Their First Date as Preteens — Arranged by Steven Spielberg

Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman You are taking a stroll down the memory lane.

The joyous reunion between the two was celebrated by Feldman, 51. Drew Barrymore ShowHe and the host share their memories of when they were briefly together as teenagers.

Feldman said, “We were literally children,” adding that he was 12-13 years old and she was 10-11 when they met.

“Officially, neither of us drove, because I was still living with my grandparents and you were still living with your mother,” the Goonies Barrymore recalled that star as Barrymore said they were “years away” from getting their licenses.

Barrymore’s blushes were evident as the audience gushed about the sweet memory. Feldman confessed, “I don’t remember which movie we saw,” cutting tension with laughter. Feldman admitted, “But I do remember all that.”

He said they “just stayed good friends” and then they “dated properly” for a few more years.

They also recalled their red-carpet date at 61st Academy Awards 1989. Barrymore was 14, Feldman was 17.

“I was going to remember you, and so, it was a good thing that I got to be your date,” she stated. “And I just put on a cotton shirt.” Betsey Johnson You can dress up straight from the rack. I do not know the exact cost of it, but it was probably $65.

“I can remember going there and seeing people wearing designer clothes. And I thought, “Oh, my clothes are so bad.” I’m wearing a Betsey-Johnson cotton dress. Whoops!’ Barrymore corrected the error.

The Never Been Kissed Star noted that Feldman looked “so cool” when she displayed a “legendary photo” from the outing. Barrymore commented, “I just thought it was so much fun.”

“We were the perfect little, cute item for the three month we lasted.” Feldman agreed.

Barrymore said, “We were so positive; we were such good friends. We had the kind of relationship that says, “Date your friend.” We were the epitome of this. You were so kind and safe for me.

Feldman had a vague memory of Barrymore’s “already getting you life together,” but at the time he was “still going though my troubles”. “You got sober first; it was you who got your act together.” He added that it took him a few years to get there.
