Ducks might be interested in a potential transfer of CB Jaheim Singletary, a former Georgia 5-star star.

A name that was interestingly listed in the transfer portal Thursday morning could be Dan Lanning, Oregon Ducks’ head coach.

Jaheim Singletary (Georgia Bulldogs true freshman cornerback) announced that he will be entering the transfer portal in search of a new school. Singletary was a former 5-star recruit from 2022. Singletary was committed to the Bulldogs as No. 5 CB in all of the country, and No. 27 overall player for the 2022 class.

This is a fascinating story for Oregon fans because the Ducks still have a need for cornerback, even though they added Khyree Jackson, an Alabama transfer, earlier in the offseason. Lanning also has a relationship already with Singletary.

While Lanning is not listed as one of the primary recruiters for Singletary on 247Sports, it’s safe to assume that as the defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs when the 5-star CB committed to Georgia, the two have a good relationship.

We will watch to see if they reach out and attempt to contact the Ducks, but this could be another huge get in the portal for Oregon at a time of need.
