Anthony Lucas, a former five-star recruit, transfers from Texas A&M University to USC

Former Texas A&M defensive lineman Anthony Lucas has committed to USC. Lucas, a former five-star recruit In the Top247 rankings of the Class of 2022 will have three years eligibility and joins Trojans as a true second year.

The Chapparal High School product and Scottsdale (Ariz.) native had 10 tackles and one tackle for a loss this past season. He could have been a great defensive lineman in College Station 2023, but the 6-foot-6, 220-pound defensive player will be thriving in L.A. right now, where he can help a Trojan defense.

Lucas is an NFL prototype NFL player that will make a significant impact on USC’s defense. Lucas should be available for the next two seasons. He will be playing alongside Korey Foreman, a former five-star recruit.

Lucas was a member of Texas A&M’s historic 2022 recruiting class that ranked No. The Aggies and Jimbo Fischer have lost Chris Marshall, wide receiver to Ole Miss, and Denver Harris, cornerback to LSU. Along with Lucas, both were five-star players.
