Built on a hillside measuring approximately one-acre, the house is constructed using a series concrete circles that overlap. The house blends naturally into the rock terrain. Some have said its spherical structure even takes after the Guggenheim Wright designed the Museum in New York. Its overall appearance is quite striking, but also futuristic.

Its curved and geometric interior layout is maintained. You can see the arched windows framing the mountain backdrop and the rounded walls with golden-hued Philippine Mahogany. The built-in furniture bends with the building. Some of the additional highlights include a primary suite with prime views of Palm Canyon. The suite also features a private balcony, a bathroom, and a lounge. Elsewhere, you’ll find an office, a library, a den and a media room. Outside, there’s a garden terrace and even a crescent-shaped pool that’s been decked out with mother-of-pearl tiles.

Back in 2019, Wright’s Norman Lykes House was up for auction The highest bidder paid approximately $1.7 million. According to reports, the buyer was from out-of-state and intended to use the property as a vacation home. However, if you’re looking to get your hands on this rare find nowadays, it’ll cost you a whopping $8.9 million for the spread.
