HBO Max increases the monthly service fee to $15.99 by increasing it by 1 dollar

Warner Bros. Discovery has increased the monthly price of its subscription. HBO Max This is the first time that the platform has seen this happen in its two-year history.

To receive advertisements in the United States starting Thursday, users will need to pay $15.99 per month plus tax. The price hike represents a $1 increase over $14.99 and a general 7% increase.

Subscribers to the $14.99 per month plan will be charged the $15.99 fee immediately for the next billing cycle, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 11.

The streaming giant stated that the price hike of $1 will enable them to invest further in programming with a culturally-relevant theme and in improving customer experiences for all users.

The new Warner Bros. DiscoveryIn an effort to save costs,, formed in 2022 following the acquisition of WarnerMedia by Discovery. Several popular shows, such as “FBoy Island,” Westworld,” and “Raised by Wolves”, have been removed from the streaming platform.

HBO Max also produced over 250 “Looney Tune” episodes, three seasons of the original series “Flintstones,” and 200 “Sesame street” episodes.
