“I won’t be embarrassed”

Star of the 1985 thriller, Mark Patton A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge.. is asking for help to pay his medical bills in order to get treatment for what his manager calls “AIDS-related illnesses.”

Patton, 63 years old, is currently being treated in Mexico for his injuries. He released a statement about it on GoFundMe page Peter Valderrama is his manager. The fundraiser was launched just two days ago and has already raised $30,350, exceeding its $18,000 goal.

“Basically I am asking for help; I will not be embarrassed,” wrote Patton, who rose to stardom in the film as Jesse Walsh, a teen whose body was possessed by horror fixture Freddy Krueger, portrayed by Robert Englund. “I just want my family to be happy and healthy.”

Patton says he must move to the American Hospital Mexico to receive proper treatment. It costs $300 per day to get treated there and the current facility where Patton is staying is “overwhelmed by COVID and I’m too compromised to stay here.”

He continued, “I feel stupid for being too optimistic.” “I was certain that I would fly to Chicago today, but I swear that I will fly to the USA when I feel well. These medical issues have been dealt with before, and I know that I still have a lot to fight for. The last few years have been difficult for me financially. I have always lived month-to-month and have struggled to pay for medical visits since October.

Patton said that financial aid would “be a lifesaving option for me to continue my recovery in a place that can treat my condition.” He simply signed the post, saying “Thank You All.” Love, Mark.”

Valderrama shared more details about Patton’s condition and said that he was looking forward to an appearance on the upcoming TV show.

Valderrama wrote, “He has been sick for quite some time now.” It was initially thought that it might be COVID aftershocks and other serious infections that could be treated with rest and care. He now has AIDS-related illnesses. Mark had been eagerly awaiting this show for some time. But his health has taken a terrible turn.

Patton shared previously that he was first diagnosed with HIV in 1999. Interview with HIV+ MagazineHe shared his story about how he found out he was infected.

“I found out on my 40th birthday and three days later I was in the hospital,” Patton told the magazine. “But because of the infections I had, they made me take tuberculosis medicine and that didn’t mix with those older HIV meds. Side effects were numerous. It was almost as if I had been poisoned.

He says that he almost died at the time but his health quickly improved. He got married and moved to Mexico.

Patton is still a prominent figure in the horror scene of the modern era. He values every opportunity to meet people and takes them “very seriously”. [fans] According to Valderrama, “in person.”
