Internet Personality Remi Lucidi Dead at 30 After Fall From Skyscraper

Remi Lucidi, the French internet personality famous for his daredevil stunts, has died after falling from a skyscraper in Hong Kong. He was 30 years old.

Lucidi, known as “Remi Enigma” on Instagram, was on the building’s 68th floor when he lost his footing outside a penthouse apartment at the 721-foot-tall Tregunter Tower and tragically fell to his death on Thursday, according to reports from multiple outlets and The South China Morning Post.

According to Sky News, the extreme sports enthusiast gained access to the high-rise building by telling a security guard that he was there to visit a friend on the 40th floor.

He then made his way to the top floor and was caught by surveillance cameras exiting the elevator on the 49th floor and again on the staircase to the top floor, where a door had been forced open, per the interpretation published in Sky News and The Independent.

Reports suggest Lucidi somehow got trapped outside the building when he spotted a maid inside the penthouse and knocked on the window before suddenly losing his footing and falling to his death.

“It is possible that he got trapped outside the penthouse while practicing an extreme sport in the building, and he knocked on the window for help, but accidentally fell to his death,” a source told The South China Morning Post.

Lucidi’s body and camera were later found on a nearby patio. It is believed the maid called the police.

The self-proclaimed urban explorer, who gained thousands of social media followers by sharing glimpses of his adrenaline-spiking adventures on Instagram, only posted from the rooftop of another skyscraper in the city last week.

He previously went viral for shots taken while climbing towers in snowy Bulgaria, rooftops in Paris, and walking across other massive skyscrapers in China.

Last month, he posted a selfie while climbing a tower in East Europe with the caption: “Life is too short to chase unicorns 💀.”
