Jets will interview Nick Caley, Patriots tight ends coach, for the position of offensive coordinator

In their search for an offensive coordinator, the New York Jets have turned to a rival coaching team.

According to Ian Rapoport, NFL Network’s Jets will interview Nick Caley, Patriots tight ends coach, this week.

The soon-to-be 40-year-old has spent the past eight seasons on Bill Belichick’s staff, first as an offensive assistant for two years and then as the tight ends coach for the past six seasons. In 2020 and 2021, he also coached fullbacks.

Rapoport has recently considered Caley to be a strong candidate.

Caley joins Eagles pass game coordinator Kevin Patullo in being known candidates for the position of offensive coordinator.
