Lord Sugar explains Claude’s diminished role on The Apprentice

Littner will appear in only two episodes of Apprentice, and will be replaced by an Apprentice winner in the other episodes. Tim Campbell.
Talk to the Radio TimesSugar confirmed that Littner’s position was cut due to “medical problems” which were believed to stem from the 2021 bicycle accident that Littner suffered.

Sugar stated that Campbell took over the role. [former aide] Nick Hewer Claude was then referred to as “Claude”. Unfortunately, Claude suffered some medical issues and so I was asked to think of someone else – and who better than somebody who’s actually been through the process.”
Sugar stated that it was “a bit of an easy decision really, because you’ve got Tim there when it comes to making excuses, like these candidates do. He’s been there and done that, seen the it all, and has it all. “I warn candidates that there is no way to pull the wool over his eyes.
Littner was appointed Lord Sugar’s assistant in season 11, following Nick Hewer’s departure. Littner has been an interviewer in the latter stages of the competition for the past ten seasons.
Campbell started working for Sugar in 2007 after winning The Apprentice’s first season. Campbell has since established Bright Ideas Trust, a social enterprise that he founded, and sits on The City of London Education Board.
In 2012, he was awarded an MBE for his services to enterprise culture.
