Luncheon will be hosted by 80 Acres Farms Co-Founder. Food from the business will also be served

Dec. 30—Tisha Livingston, co-founder of 80 Acres Farms and CEO of Infinite Acres will be the featured speaker at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts for the January “Celebrating Self” luncheon series.

“80 Acres Farms is headquartered in Hamilton, but their expansion via more U.S. state and other countries has been enormous,” said Ian MacKenzieThurley (executive director, Fitton Center).

We have a wonderful opportunity to interact with and present such an innovative, young and developing company right here in Hamilton, he stated.

“The response has been amazing. I encourage everyone to book as soon as possible. “We have very limited availability,” MacKenzie–Thurley stated.

Two Women in a Kitchen is the Fitton Center’s caterer partner. They will also be presenting produce from 80 Acres Farms at the luncheon event.

This is a great way of talking about incredible produce if you are going to discuss it. He said that you will hear all about the great produce while you eat it.

Infinite Acres is the new way to grow produce in Hamilton. 80 Acres Farms is an indoor, eco-friendly farm that grows pesticide-free food. The company was established in 2015.

Tisha Livingston is the co-founder of 80 Acres Farms. She also serves as CEO of Infinite Acres. Tisha and Mike Zelkind started their journey believing they would build greenhouses. The idea of building greenhouses was not an easy, scalable solution and would not solve the problem of fresh, healthy produce all year. They then looked into vertical farming and technology.

Livingston stated, “We quickly realized that the technology was rapidly developing, and you can control everything in climate.” You could manage all aspects of the plant’s environment, whether it was locally or globally.

Livingston will speak at the Fitton Center and share her overarching message, “Hamilton to all the world”, and show how Hamilton’s innovative technology is being exported around the globe.

80 Acres Farms is a producer of salads, microgreens as well as herbs, cucumbers, and tomatoes. These products are sold at Kroger, Whole Foods Markets, The Fresh Markets, Jungle Jim’s International Markets, Dorothy Lane Market and The Fresh Market.

Recently, the company announced two new farms in Florence (Ky.) and Covington (Ga.).

Livingston stated that the Kentucky farm will be built in three phases. Basil is currently being grown at the facility in the first phase. In the coming days, the first commercial harvest will be made. The second phase is expected to be completed in June. Phase three will be completed in October 2023.

She said that the Atlanta farm would be “a quick follow-up to that.” These farms will be four- to five times larger than the Hamilton farm, and will continue to serve more retail outlets. Livingston explained that the new farms are being built to increase our product’s reach.

Hamilton has been visited by business leaders from around the world to learn more about the company and its operations.
