Nets’ Dorian Finney-Smith urges team to ‘stay together’ heading into All-Star break

Brooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith They know that the Nets face a challenging task for the remainder of the season. The Nets’ new look will not have had much time together so they need to find a way of building chemistry quickly enough to be in the playoff race.

Brooklyn’s Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have made Brooklyn a totally different team than they were before the superstars. Monday’s 124-106 Finney Smith lost to the New York Knicks nine points. The new Nets will need to learn patience in areas that can take time, like chemistry and familiarity. Cam Thomas and Spencer Dinwiddie, the only two members of this team who can create shots from others, are Thomas and Thomas. Thomas is not as active as before the trades.

This Nets version will defend, as has been said repeatedly. If your team scores 124 points, like the Knicks, it is time to adjust strategies. Only time will tell if this Brooklyn team can achieve that. Finney-Smith responded to the loss by saying:

“We want to end this thing on the right note. This win is ours. We can look forward, because we are still in a great position as a team to do special things. But we have to stick together. Keep your team together. It’s gonna be a long season.”
