Paulina Porizkova recalls her first dinner with Ric Ocasek, her late husband
Paulina Porizkova It’s like taking a trip down the memory lane.
Supermodel 57 years old shared her Instagram post to share the news with others photo She imagines herself alone in the restaurant where she met Ric Ocasek (Cars lead singer).
The pair — who shared two sons together — tied the knot in 1989 and separated in 2017. They maintained close relationships up until Ocasek’s 2019 death.
“I’m sitting at a table at the Odeon restaurant, the very same table where, 39 years ago, I had my first dinner with the man who would become my husband,” Porizkova began In the caption.
She explained Even though she was able to eat with all the Cars’ band members, she “hardly noticed anyone but the tall, elegant and awkwardly elegant man with turquoise blue eyes next me.”
Ocasek “walked to the small table next to the wall, where a couple was enjoying a romantic meal,” during their dinner. Ocasek pushed all condiments and food aside and then stood up on the table folding his entire body so that it fit perfectly on the tabletop.

Ocasek died in September 2019 from natural causes. Later, it was determined that he had atherosclerotic cardio disease. Porizkova stated that Ocasek died in shock just two weeks after having undergone heart surgery.
“His death wasn’t at all connected to his heart, his surgery, which was two week earlier,” she said. Rolling Stone. “I don’t know how much I want to say about the surgery, but it was successful. He was recovering really well. So, his death was an unexpected one. [expletive] shock.”
