Peyton Hillis is discharged from Hospital after saving his children from drowning: “Truly a miracle”

Peyton Hillis He is now out the hospital and recovering after saving his children’s lives from drowning.

Hillis, aged 36, was released from a Florida hospital Thursday. His sister Hayley, also discharged. posted on Facebook.

Hillis was in the hospital since Jan. 4. He was transferred by helicopter to the ICU and placed on a ventilator. After saving his children, Hillis was still conscious. He was initially unconscious. However, he was able to be taken off the ventilator one week later.

Davis also had jumped into the water to help the day, and had to be taken to the hospital by an ambulance. Before being released, he was also freed.

Davis stated Thursday that Hillis is doing well and all health issues are under control. She called Hillis’s progress “truly remarkable.”

Davis stated that Hillis’ helicopter landing at the hospital had a devastating effect on her family’s lives. She said that she saw her brother lying in the sand, unable move, and her mom running “backwards” between them while medics treated their injuries.

Davis said, “God was truly there that day.” “He guided us, protected us all, and I am so thankful to him for his provision.”

Davis said that her family is so grateful for all the kind words and prayers she received over the past weeks.

Hillis had the pleasure of being visited by Emmitt, the legendary running back. Smith shared his experience with Hillis via Twitter: “I had this opportunity to visit him as a recovering hero.” “Praying for his healing.”

Hillis felt the visit was very special. who told ESPN In a 2011 interview, he said that Smith was his idol growing up. “My football idol growing-up, I was named after Walter Payton but my idols at RB are Barry Sanders  Emmitt SmithHe said,

Hillis was a member of the NFL between 2008 and 2014. He played with the Denver Broncos (Chicago Browns), Kansas City Chiefs (Kansas City Chiefs), and New York Giants (New York Giants). Hillis also appeared on the cover for Madden 12 and has since taken up acting.
