Three people are killed and thirteen others injured in an ammunition blast in Russia’s Belgorod region.

(Reuters) – A bullet explosion that killed three people in Russia’s Belgorod area left 13 others with injuries, RIA Novosti news agency reported. The report was based on local emergency services.

According to authorities, 10 Russian servicemen were wounded in the explosion in a Belgorod regional cultural centre. The region is located near Ukraine and contains several Russian military bases.

Russian law enforcement agencies are represented by the Baza Telegram and 112 channels. They claimed that the deceased and injured were Russian conscripts called up to fight for Ukraine in Russia’s mobilization drive.

The soldiers reported that the blast happened after a soldier had mishandled a bomb in a local cultural centre, which was being used to store ammunition.
