The Seattle Seahawks had a surprising run to the postseason last season. Although many considered Seattle one of the worst teams in football (and they were), Seattle managed to sneak in as the No. 7 seed.
Even though their return to the playoffs wasn’t long-lasting, it was still a significant achievement for them to be able to qualify for postseason football.
Seahawks were led by a rejuvenated Geno Smith and a surprising explosive offense. They made many highlights reels throughout the season. Below is one such reel from the NFL’s official Twitter account documenting the Top 10 plays Seattle had in 2022.
Quandre Diggs’ interception of Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield in overtime is truly deserving. When watching the game in real time, it sure appeared receiver Van Jefferson had taken advantage of busted coverage and was going to end Seattle’s season right then and there with a touchdown.
The Seahawks would have been out of playoff contention if the Rams had won. Seattle won the next possession with a field goal to keep its postseason hopes alive.
