Two men were jailed for attacking a woman after she woke up in the middle night.

Two men were jailed for a “barbaric” attack on a woman that they had awakened in the middle the night before.

Charlie Hale (22) and Henry Harris (21) were fighting on Church Road, Burgess Hill (West Sussex) in the early hours in September 2020.

47-year-old victim was awakened by the noise and fled her flat to inquire about the men’s behavior.

This was followed by an assault on the woman, which caused her to fall to ground.

Both of them continued to punch her and kick it.

The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for facial and head injuries as well as a chipped front teeth.

The car of the victim was also damaged during the fight.

The police found Hale on the spot and charged him for causing grievous bodily injury.

Harris was soon found by the police and taken into custody.

Both men were sentenced earlier in the month.

Dani Sanchez, the investigating officer, said that this was a vicious attack on an innocent woman who confronted them after seeing her car had been damaged.

“Harris pushed her to the ground. Hale then joined in. Both of them continued to punch and kick her, even though she was defenseless and unconscious.

“Their actions are nothing short of barbaric. The sentences imposed prove that this kind of behavior will not tolerated.”
