U.S. targets network in response to’sensitive articles’ sent by Russia to the Commerce Dept
WASHINGTON, December 13 (Reuters) – Washington suspended export privileges temporarily for three individuals and two businesses following unauthorized exports to Russia of “sensitive items”, the U.S. Commerce Department announced Tuesday. They said the evasion contributed to Moscow’s war machine.
According to the department, some of the parts that were exported could be used for military purposes and their privileges would be suspended for 180 days. Reporting by Kanishka Sharma and Susan Heavey. Editing by Katharine Johnson.
