Gobert is thriving with KAT, despite a slow start

Although it was slow to start, Rudy Gobert standards suggest that the center is starting to turn a corner with Timberwolves. The only question now is whether he can continue the momentum when Karl-Anthony Towns comes back.

Rudy Gobert and Timberwolves were bound to dance as they changed their style of play to make room for the defensive stalwart. Gobert is still a top-50 9-cat player despite what some consider a slow start.

He had one of the best games of the season, in Minnesota’s win over Clippers on January 6. He was responsible for 25 points and 21 rebounds as well as 2 blocked shots. The field shot 11 of 15. Karl-Anthony Towns has missed 15 games since he injured his right leg on November 28. 14.0 points per game, 11.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists. 0.9 steals and 1.4 blocks. 72% shooting from the field, 58% from the foul line.

These numbers aren’t impressive, but the average scoring score is slightly higher than before Towns’s injury. Gobert averaged 13.8 point on 64% shooting. Fantasy managers hope that Gobert will build on his performance against Clippers and continue to play before Towns returns at end of month.
