DeWine will attend the Ohio State Highway Patrol 170th Academy graduation

Gov. Mike DeWine and other officials are set to make an appearance at the graduation of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s 170th Academy Class today.

Major General John C. Harris Jr. will be the Ohio Adjutant General and deliver the commencement address for 23 class members.

To earn their graduation, the class completed several courses, including crash investigation, criminal, traffic law, detection impaired drivers, firearms and self-defense.

DeWine was joined by the 23 graduates of the graduation: Ohio Department of Public Safety Director Andy Wilson and Colonel Superintendent Charles A. Jones. Academy Commandant The Honourable Judge Matthew P. Frericks. Marion County Court of Common Pleas Major John C. Harris Jr. and Ohio AdjutantGeneral Reverend Philip A. Hurlbert.
