Here’s the plan for new Bills offensive lineman Connor McGovern

Connor McGovern was signed by the Buffalo Bills as their first signing in the free agency window. Evidently, the team felt that an upgrade was necessary along the offensive line.

That still didn’t answer every question.

McGovern is going to be where? The obvious position is guard.

Still, questions remain.

Buffalo will be moving forward at tackle with Spencer Brown and Dion Dawkins. Mitch Morse will be back at the center.

Rodger Saffold, who is at guard, left a gap. a free agent. Ryan Bates remains.

McGovern and Bates share two things in common. They were both first. teammates at Penn State. They can also play on both the offensive and defensive lines. So who could be where?

McGovern made it clear that he would be playing on the left side during his introductory press conference. Bates will, at the very least, return to right guard, where he spent most of last season.

All in all, it’s a situation McGovern liked enough to sign on the dotted line. Of course, there was more to the decision.

See the attached clip for more details from McGovern regarding his decision to join Bills.
