The Mets Six prospects are ranked in Baseball America’s new Top 100 list for 2023.

The players:

C Francisco Alvarez: No. 9
RHP Kodai Senga: No. 16
3B Brett Baty: No. 33
C Kevin Parada: No. 50
OF Alex Ramirez: No. 92
SS Jett Williams: No. 98

Senga will likely be at No. 3 behind Max Scherzer And Justin Verlander.

The five other prospects made their big league debuts 2022, and two could be key players in 2023.

These players are Alvarez and Baty.

Alvarez is the target of the team. The plan is to keep him in the mold of the future catcher, but the addition of the recently signed Omar Narvaez Alvarez’s inclusion onto the Opening Day roster feels unlikely. He has the potential to change things and may just force his way onto the Opening Day roster.

Baty played six games in Triple-A this season, after being promoted to Double-A. After that, he was quickly jumped up to the majors as a replacement. Baty did not feel overmatched in his short taste of the bigs. A thumb injury ended his season. He could return to the majors as soon as Opening Day, perhaps playing left-handed third base. Eduardo Escobar. Or, the Mets could send him back in the minors.

The other possibilities are not particularly close.

Parada was drafted in the last season and reached A-ball St. Lucie. He could also start this season at High-A Brooklyn. However, his big league ETA for Parada is 2024.

Ramirez is a powerful outfielder who was 19 years old when he played last season. He should be at Double A Binghamton in 2023, and possibly the majors in 2024. A better option is 2025.

Williams may not make his big-league debut until 2026. but could be an impact player in the infield or center field.

Other than the six prospects on the new BA list, there are many other prospects for the Mets — including INF Ronny Mauricio RHPs and other forms of human capital Calvin Ziegler And Blade Tidwell • Who might be on one of the Top 100 lists for this season?
