Austin Butler Honoring Lisa Marie Presley after her death at 54, just days after attending Golden Globe alongside her.
Butler, 31, was one of the last to meet the star. He said Friday that he is devastated for Lisa Marie’s children and mother, and that he will never forget her tragic death.
“I am eternally thankful for the time that I was fortunate enough to be near her bright lights and will always cherish the quiet times we shared,” the actor shared in a statement with PEOPLE.
“Her warmth and love for her, as well as her authenticity, will always be remembered.”

Lisa Marie was mother to Riley Keough, a 33-year-old daughter of twins Harper Keough and Finley Keough, as well as Benjamin Keough, a son. died by suicide in July 2020.
