Exemplary compliance process for PFAS restriction and reporting

Perfluoroalkyl chemicals (PFAS), are very varied with many uses. Claigan’s webinar explains how a particular company complies to PFAS reporting obligations and restrictions.

Some PFAS substances, such as fluoropolymers, are intentionally used in products because of their special properties. Some PFAS substances, such as PFOA, are accidental contaminants or byproducts from fluoropolymer production. A wide range of PFAS compounds are used to waterproof fabrics and medical devices. Companies find it difficult to comply with the PFAS regulations due to their diversity.

Claigan will present a webinar that uses an example company to show how it complies the PFAS reporting requirements. The compliance processes for PFAS reports will be centered on PFAS reporting. MaineCompliance processes for PFAS restrictions will be focused on the EU POP Restrictions and REACH Restrictions. Similar global regulations, such as the expected US Federal PFAS reporting requirement, Prop 65, and Canadian PFOA restrictions, will be discussed. Claigan will discuss the process for legacy products, as well for new designs. Claigan will explain the processes in detail and provide background information about their regulatory outputs as well as due diligence requirements.
