Sooners offer Michigan State University 2024 4-star CB commitment Jaylen Thomson

Oklahoma’s outlook at the corner position for the 2024 season could very well depend on how things shake out for them this year.

They are likely to lose Woodi Washington (upperclassman) and Jaden Davis (upperclassman). They will likely lose Woodi Washington and Jaden Davis, but there are many other unproven players who will have every opportunity this season to show their skills.

Oklahoma, which has at most two players leaving, would do well to hit the recruiting trail in earnest to find cornerbacks that fit their system.

With this in mind, Oklahoma already offers over 15 cornerbacks to the class of 2024 and the list is growing with Jaylen Thompson’s offer from Murfreesboro Tennessee last week.

Thompson is a four-star Michigan State commit and stands over six feet tall. He is also one of the ten most promising prospects in Tennessee.

On film, his athleticism is and long stature stand out the most. He also is from the same city as a current OU cornerback, Woodi Washington, which undoubtedly could be used in Oklahoma’s recruiting pitch.
