Top scores for Tector with 47 points, Ireland makes 141-9 in Zimbabwe T20

Harry Tector scored 47 points, while Ireland finished 141-9 Sunday against Zimbabwe in Harare in the series-deciding third Twenty20 international.

At No. 4 Tector saved the tourists who were down to 19-3 after defeating the home team by six wickets.

He ran 70 runs before being outrun by Chris Campher, who was the second highest scorer in Ireland with 27 runs.

Tector was next to leave, adding six more runs before being caught by off spinner Wessly Madhevere. He is the most successful Zimbabwe bowler, his two wickets costing eight runs each.

The batter was faced with 38 deliveries, and struck three fours in Ireland’s bid to become the first side to win the series.

Mark Adair, a lower-order Irish batsman, was the only one to make it to double figures. His 14 off 10 balls contributed to a 31-run seventh wicket stand.
