Boston Scott can he continue to rule New York City and make it paydirt?

Boston Scott, Philadelphia Eagles’ runningback, has been with the NFL for five years. He’s played on special teams and in the running back room. Scott is a completely different player when he sees the New York Giants. The 60 games of his NFL career can be easily divided into two groups: the 8 games that were played against the New York Giants and the 52 games that were played as depth options. Scott has seen 34% his career in rushing, 43% his career in receiving yards, and 59% his career touchdowns against the New York Giants.

Scott is the New York dominator, but he has been limited to playing on 15% of Philadelphia’s offensive snaps. It is a shame. he’s a solid +350 long shot to find the end zone on Saturday night. Scott has been slightly more active in the last weeks of the season. He is now second behind Miles Sanders as the most used running back in Philadelphia. Scott was present for 33% of the offensive snaps in Week 17-18. Scott, with his dominance in New York and slightly increasing role, is an interesting bet to find that end zone. Are there any other plus-money touchdown scorers worth your attention this week?

High scoring Jaguars vs. Chiefs matchup

With the total set at 53-pointsThe oddsmakers expect a high-scoring affair on Saturday between the Kansas City Chiefs (KC) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (Jaguars) to begin the divisional round. This means that there are plenty of touchdown options available, but I’m focusing on one team that pays out at +money.

Clyde Edwards and Helene died in November. Isiah Pacheco assumed the role of early down in the Kansas City running room. It also expanded the role for Jerick McKinnon. McKinnon certainly took advantage of this opportunity and has rewarded fantasy players and bettors over the past two months.

McKinnon’s six touchdowns since December have been nine. McKinnon has scored at least one touchdown in three of his six games. McKinnon can catch passes on third down and plays an important role in red zone. Edwards-Helaire has returned to practice but isn’t expected to play this week. It’s basically status quo for roles in the Kansas City Backfield. Fire up McKinnon to find the end zone at +110 odds.

We can also assume that the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are 8.5 points underdogs, will play from behind in this game. We have to look at Christian Kirk as their top pass-catcher. Kirk scored in both round two of the wildcard round, and in the final regular season match. Kirk has gotten 22 targets in those two games. Kirk caught 9 passes on 12 targets earlier in the season when the Jaguars faced off against the Chiefs. This turned into 105 yard and two touchdowns. Kirk is +125 to score a touchdown on Saturday.

Isaiah Hodgins is hot

Boston Scott scored three touchdowns for Philadelphia this season. Two of them were against the New York Giants. Scott has 17 goals in his career. Ten of them have been against New York. His career has seen him kill the Giants, making him a fascinating bet to reach the +350 zone. It’s difficult to ignore this story given the odds.

The Giants may have found a very talented wide receiver from the scrap pile on the other side of the matchup. The Giants acquired Isaiah Hodgins from Buffalo on waivers in November and he has been a key part of their offense since then. Hodgins finished the regular season scoring touchdowns in four out of five games. Hodgins rushed for 105 yards on eight receptions in last week’s victory against Minnesota.

Hodgins, who has a team-leading 66.7% target share in the red zone since Week 13, has been Daniel Jones’ favorite target in that zone. He will likely see many of James Bradberry (117.1 passer ratings allowed) and Darius Slay (127.7 passer ratings permitted), who have struggled a bit down this stretch. Hodgins is +220 to score a touchdown on Saturday night.

A pair of shoes for Sunday

Don’t try to fix it if it isn’t broken.

Dawson Knox has now scored touchdowns in five consecutive games, including the one against Miami. He was actually close to scoring multiple touchdowns last Sunday. He was able to catch a pass in his end zone that was originally considered a touchdown. But replays revealed that he did not survive the ground.

Knox is Josh Allen’s favorite target in the red zone. Knox’s touchdown last weekend was a well-planned play. Allen ran out of bounds and only had one target in mind. Knox made an impressive catch. Knox can also get open when Allen is out of the pocket, and he scrambles. It is evident that the Bills’ quarterback trusts his tight end.

Despite his recent tears, Knox is still +200 to score a touchdown on Sunday. These are excellent odds for a red-zone target who clearly trusts his quarterback.

Santa Clara will host the Dallas Cowboys in the final game of the weekend. The 49ers are the favorite by four points.

I’m interested in the Cowboys’ secondary. Dallas is plagued by serious secondary problems, other than Trevon Diggs. Dallas is likely to focus a lot of energy on slowing down Deebo Samson and George Kittle. I’m now turning my attention to Brandon Aiyuk, who will be playing a major game against Xavier Rhodes or Daron Bland.

Aiyuk has quietly surpassed 1,000 receiving yards this season, and he’s been an excellent target for Brock Purdy. Aiyuk is at least 50 yards receiving in five of the six games Purdy started and he has two touchdowns. He had an end zone drop against Seattle that would have made it three.

Last weekend, Tampa Bay’s most successful receiver was Chris Godwin. He worked the middle of field and compiled 85 yard. Aiyuk makes big plays in the middle of field and runs a lot of crossing routes, so I expect him against this Dallas secondary. Aiyuk is +180 to score a touchdown on Sunday night.
