Chris Ford, three-time champion of the Celtics, has died at age 74

Chris Ford, an ex-villanova star who won the championships with the Boston Celtics as both player and coach, has passed away at the age 74, his family said in a statement to the NBA team.

The Fords released a press release Thursday afternoon saying that Chris was loved by his family, friends and teammates. He loved his family, Boston, the fans and the whole Celtics family. He showed humility and respect to all who were privileged enough to be part of his life.
