Joe Mixon asks NFL to coin-toss more than $13k to celebrate Week 18 TD Celebration, Chad Johnson offers

Cincinnati Bengals Running back Joe Mixon After a trip to end zone, we had some fun with a coin flip celebration during a Week 18 win Over the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, he’s having some fun with the $13,261 fine he says the NFL hit him with on Friday.

Mixon tweeted a screenshot from what appears to have been the league’s official fine notice. He also made a proposal, which states that props are prohibited.

“@NFL since y’all all about the coin flipping let’s do this. Let’s have a coin toss to pay this crazy fine for expressing myself. If it’s heads I’ll pay,” he wrote. “If it’s tails Roger [Goodell] pay the money to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cincinnati.”

For Mixon, maybe it’s less about the money and more about the principle.

Frustration at rule changes

Johnson, Bengals legend, was present before the game. tweeted, “Dear Bengals players, if you love me the way I love you guys when you score tomorrow someone has to flip a coin as their celebration & call tails.”

His tweet was the result of the multiple playoff rule changes This was done in the aftermath of the Bengals Week 17 Game between the Buffalo Bills’ cancellation. Johnson, Mixon and other Bengals personnel weren’t happy with the new clause that, if the Ravens defeat the Bengals in Week 18, then they would determine home-field advantage by flipping a coin immediately after the game.

Head coach Zac Taylor also voiced his frustrations After the NFL made its decision, Taylor was satisfied with the new rule. Taylor stated that the change was not fair or equitable for the Bengals when compared to the way it affected the rest the AFC.

To symbolize the new rule, the Bengals’ running back, the star of the Bengals, pretended to flip the coin in the end zone when he scored his first touchdown in quarter one to give them a 10-0 lead.

Johnson promised to pay the fine and Johnson continued his coin flipping jabs.

“I have my checkbook so I can reimburse Joe Mixon on whatever fine amount was handed down from the league office,” he wrote early Friday morning.

Johnson had a slight influence on the Bengals to celebrate, but it was fair. seemed shocked It would be amazing to see it actually happen. It is also an offer he seems to have the full intention to accept. Mixon Tweeted about receiving a package, presumably from the NFL regarding the fine, to which Johnson responded “I’m in town now, just DM the numbers & I’ll write the check.”

It was impossible for the coin to flip, since the Ravens lost. Both teams will be meeting again in Cincinnati during Super Wild Card Weekend. The Ravens will officially be without quarterback Lamar Jackson Once more.
