LinkedIn has identified the fastest-growing jobs in S’pore. It could be yours.

SINGAPORE – Sales development representative, cloud engineer and enterprise account executive are the top three fastest growing jobs in Singapore, according to a study by professional networking site LinkedIn.

The following was published on Wednesday, 18 January. 2023 LinkedIn “Jobs on the Rise” The list contains the 15 highest-growing job titles in the last five years. LinkedIn stated that it provides insight into the future of the workforce and offers “insights into long-term opportunities.”

The 14th and 15th places were occupied by investment associates and product owners, respectively.

LinkedIn Economic Graph researchers performed this study. They examined millions upon millions of job openings made by LinkedIn members between January 2018 and July 2022.

LinkedIn stated that “the data shows that the need for business growth in uncertain economic environments, continued focus upon digitalisation, disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and other technological innovations are creating opportunities in 2023.”

Separate Singapore workforce research

LinkedIn also released data from its December 2022 research on Singapore’s workforce.

It was found that nearly two-thirds of Singapore’s professionals plan to change jobs in the coming year.

LinkedIn stated that “the search for a job seems to be driven primarily by the desire for financial security as living costs rise, with the demand for higher salaries being the largest motivator for employees to leave their current roles (46%).” A majority of respondents (58%), however, stated that a salary increase would motivate them to stay.

Survey results from nearly 23,000 workers in 17 countries revealed that almost one in four (24%) said they are more confident in themselves and believe they can find better jobs.

In order to “cushion themselves from the difficult economic climate”, 54% of Singaporeans are learning new skills or deepening their knowledge about areas that are in high demand.
