Tatjana Patitz, one of the most famous supermodels in the world in the ’80s ’90s, is being remembered by her peers, including Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, after her death At age 56.

Corinne Nicolas, Patitz’s agent for three decades, is now Corinne. announced Wednesday’s news. She called the German-born, Sweden-raised catwalker and fashion magazine cover girl — who was among the iconic group of models in in George Michael’s “Freedom! 90” video — as “an exceptional beauty” and “an exceptional human being.”

Nicolas stated that illness was the cause of his death, but did not give any further details.

Jonah, a 19 year-old boy, survived Patitz who died in Santa Barbara, Calif. Mother and son were seen together at an event held in Germany on Oct. 5.

Instantly, the news drew immediate reactions from social media users from the close-knit supermodels of that era.

Crawford shared an old photo of her as a model and recalled how they were “babies” in the industry, who “grew up together” during shoots and shows. The 56-year old wrote that she found Crawford soft-spoken and sensitive, kind, curious, and inquisitive. She sent “condolences to her family — especially the son she adored.”

Campbell, 52, recalls meeting Patitz in her 16th birthday. Campbell, 52, recalled meeting Patitz when she was 16. She also said that Patitz drove her around L.A. in her red Volkswagen convertible. She called her deceased friend an “earth angel”, calling her kind, generous, shy, and passionate about animals. She stated that she had “goddess energie” and was something we all were attracted to.

Claudia Schiffer (52), described her as a “true member” of the supermodel gang. She said she was always a “joy” to work alongside as someone who was “grounded yet always elevated.”

Christy Turlington Burns 54 said Patitz “embodied European sophistication” and style when they first met in 1985. She claimed they became fast friends while they were both young models in France. They drank mini bars of champagne, ate Toblerone and smoked cigarettes. She said that she learned so many things from her friend, who she described as “always an eyewitness” and “always a vision”. I could have watched her smoking cigarettes or speak in any of the languages she spoke all day. Do you think it was necessary to work? “I was learning from an international woman how she behaves and moves around the world.

Paulina Porizkova (57), recalled that they worked together but didn’t get to know one another until 30 years later. They chatted all night and shared their most intimate secrets. She stated that she was able to “get to know this beautiful woman”, get a sense her fragility, and her whole heart. Her love for animals, horses and dogs, nature and painting (yes, she did paint), and most importantly, her love for her son. It was a deep dive into her soul, which left me filled with genuine love, tenderness and respect.

Stephanie Seymour, 54, wrote, “There’s no word that describes Tatjana more than ethereal.”

Helena Christensen (54), recalled her friend as a “divine spirit”. She expressed gratitude for their continued contact and said that they would always be in touch. “I hope you’re riding on a horse in endless meadows with that smile on your face and the wind blowing in your hair,” Christensen wrote.

Shalom Harlow stated in her Instagram stories, Patitz’s “deep and penetrating gaze”, will always be with Shalom Harlow.
