Who should be in your lineup of players?

No matter how many times you’ve played Daily Fantasy on Yahoo This column is for those who have tried DFS before, or just starting to get into it. It will look at the DFS landscape and reveal my favorite players, stars to fade, undervalued play options, and bargain bin options to help build a better team.

Lineup building blocks

Justin Jefferson ($37), vs. New York Giants

Jefferson led the NFL with receiving, even though he had a quiet end that saw him only get 53 yards in the last two games. He will be facing a Giants secondary that he scored 16-12-133-1 last month when they met. Minnesota boasts one of the most high implied team totals this weekend, while New York’s defense is ranked fourth in DVOA. Jefferson is worth investing in DFS this week, irrespective of his age. Josh Allen ($40) vs. Miami Dolphins

Allen saw his YPA rise from 6.9 in Buffalo to 8.4 at Buffalo, and the Bills led the NFL with yards per play at home. He gets a highly favorable matchup against a blitz-happy The Miami defense was the most favorable to quarterbacks, allowing them to score the third-most fantasy point this season. The opposition also had the sixth highest pass rate against the Dolphins. Allen had the second-highest fantasy points this season, and it was difficult to lose in DFS this weekend.

Keenan Allen ($26) @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Allen averaged 11.3 targets over the final six games and gets a Jacksonville defense that’s better against the run than the pass. Mike Williams is highly questionable and likely won’t be 100 percent if he plays after suffering a painful back injury last week, which should be a major boost For Allen. Allen ran 63% this year’s routes with the Jaguars, which allowed them the most fantasy points.

Star to fade

Tyreek Hill ($33), @ Buffalo Bills

With the point spread moving all the way to Buffalo -13, it’s clear Skylar Thompson Miami will start Hill. Game script could certainly lead to a ton of targets for Hill, but he’s playing through an ankle injury and will suffer from having to catch passers from a third-string, seventh-round rookie quarterback (not everyone is Brock Purdy). With Thompson, the Dolphins averaged 2.2 yards per play less than they did with Thompson. Tua Tagovailoa this season; Hill’s yards per target drops from 10.3 with Tua and 12.9 with Teddy Bridgewater Thompson (h/t): 6.7 Lord Reebs).

Options that are undervalued

Tee Higgins ($17), Baltimore Ravens

Higgins’ salary is the same as Darius Slayton’s and lower than Richie James’ this week; it’s 28% cheaper than Jaylen Waddle’s in 0.5 PPR. Higgins almost matches Ja’Marr Chase’s production when the two have shared the field together over the last two years, yet the former’s salary is 45% cheaper. In other words, Higgins is glaringly undervalued in a home matchup against a Baltimore defense that’s tough to run against. Joe Burrow’s YPA leaps from 7.0 on the road to 8.4 at home throughout his career, and the Bengals have a healthy implied team total. Game script could potentially be an issue given the Ravens’ QB situation, but Higgins’ DFS salary still looks enticing this week. The Bengals were by far the most aggressive passing team over the season’s final six weeks (similar to last year’s playoff run).

Daniel Jones ($32) @ Minnesota Vikings

Jones was the top-10 fantasy quarterback in fantasy points per games this season. Justin Herbert, Tom Brady He also broke the NFL record for pass attempts and completions. Dak PrescottAll of whom had Much more Higher ADPs. Dimes might’ve finished with the second-most rushing yards among quarterbacks If he had played the final week, he would get a Minnesota defense which gave up the fifth-most passing yards, five-most yards per play at-home, and five-most fantasy points for QBs this year. Jones rushed for more than 300 yards in Week 16, making him a fascinating DFS play indoors.

Kirk Cousins ($27) is also a nice play at an affordable DFS salary this week (and provides a JJ stack) albeit without Jones’ rushing upside.

Deebo Samuel ($15) vs. Seattle Seahawks

Samuel was able to see only a few details, however played 87% of the first half snaps Last week, he returned to work. There’s competition for carries with Christian McCaffrey And Elijah MitchellSamuel should, however be part of a San Francisco ground-heavy attack. wind and heavy rain in the forecast. Samuel’s missed time and limited success with Brock Purdy His performance has led him to be undervalued this weekend in DFS. He’s back healthy, and the 49ers have the second-highest implied team total on the six-game slate.

Bargain Bin

Cincinnati Bengals D/ST ($10) vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals quietly finished the year with a higher pressure than the 49ers, Bills, and played better at home. Cincinnati was the only place to allow the third-fewest TD passes for 2022, and they were extremely sparing against the run. DJ Reader was on the field. Baltimore is plagued by injuries and the Bengals are unable to overcome them. a quarterback position This could lead to Anthony Brown starting. As 9.5-point home favorites, the Bengals’ D/ST looks intriguing in DFS while priced at the minimum.
